General Purpose

Suncrown is a roleplaying guild on The Venture Co. server.
Though we are in our infancy, we are dedicated to eventual world domination
via Battlegrounds, World PVP, Raid Instances and our
mutually undeniable good looks.

Rank Structure
| |
Rank has no RP value. Rank is based on input. At this time, there are five officers
and one guild leader. All new members will be given a month’s probation.
During that time, they will hold the rank of Petitioner. If a majority of officers
agree, the petitioner will be promoted to member after their probationary period.
While there is no specific amount of time that petitioners must spend online,
it is necessary for officers to have enough time to gauge behavior. If a
petitioner has not spent a sufficient amount of time online, their probationary
period may be carried over a second month.
Members who take the initiative to help the guild in certain ways may benefit
from a promotion to “Special Order” status. While these members are not officers,
they receive certain benefits not available to regular members. Members may receive
"Veteran" status for longevity of commitment. Veterans are players who have been
active in the guild for at least three months.
In-game ranks are as follows:

Step One: Make a character. Follow these guidelines.
Step Two: Await confirmation and approval from an officer.
Step Three: An officer will arrange an RP event to incorporate your character
into the guild.

Rules and Policies

Character Creation
While it is not required that you be big into roleplaying to join Suncrown,
it is required that you have at least a summary background for your character.
Try to make your character original, unique and complex. They should be your
own creation, not a knock off of an existing character (from any media).
They should follow the lore and storylines as they have been written by Blizzard
and/or us, and not from some other fantasy world. Names like Drizzty, Gandalfo,
etc. will not be allowed.
Try not to make a character that is a simple stereotype, even if it's entertaining.
In other words, your character should not revolve around one simple idea:
he is big and dumb/she is total slut/he's SMART! Try instead to think about
motivations and reasons. A better character might be used to being treated
like an idiot because of a speech impediment, so he keeps his mouth shut to
avoid ridicule. If you're having trouble coming up with something original,
unique or complex, ask for help on the forum and I guarantee you'll get feedback.
On Loot and Rolling
While grouped, members of Suncrown should be respectful of each other’s needs.
Follow traditional rolling rules: roll greed unless you need (that means you wear
it after you won). There should be no "calling" of specific items. Everyone
should roll need on epic world drops and similar items. Please remember at all times that
your actions represent the face of this guild as a whole.
Expectations
- Abide by all of Blizzard’s policies.
- Try to make your character as realistic (in our fantasy world) as possible.
- Keep discussion in talk and yell channels in character. Propagate roleplaying. Greet people when you see them in a realistic way. Inquire after them. Remember your station and theirs.
- Be offensive, fine, but be offensive in character. Don’t allow yourself to get sucked in by hostility from other players. React as your character would react. Ignore behavior and discussion not worthy of Suncrown’s dignity.
- Refrain from excessive public displays of affection [I don’t mean kissing].
When we reach higher levels, more rules may be added.
Please note: While our guild is mostly PG-13, it is not family or young adult friendly.
You must be at least 18 years old to be considered for membership. It is our belief that the
subject matter dealt with in the guild requires a certain level of maturity to appreciate.
Having said that, we do not want this guild to descend into the type of "roleplaying" commonly
seen in the Goldshire Inn. Please do your best to avoid lude behavior in all public channels and on the forum.
Innuendo and humor are fine, but this guild does not exist for the furtherance of sexual fulfillment.
We do not mean to restrict RP in any way. What people do in private channels is no-one's business
but their own. We understand that sex will occasionally be part of the plot in a mature storyline,
but we don't want it to get out of hand.
