Known Personality
Venthel can be very quiet at times as though something is on his mind, at other times though, he can be very talkative. He is extremely protective of those closest to him, especially Evalani. Venthel can be very charismatic and can get along with most everyone around him. Though Venthel usually appears happy, on the inside he's usually hiding his true emotions. Emotions of anguish and grief. Unlike his Blood Elf brethren he is not arrogant towards the other races, though he does look down upon others from time to time. Venthel is very sharp and quick witted. His speech is that of a very educated man, with the words carefully articulating off of the tip of his tongue.
Character History
The Mordan family was only one of many small servant families to the Suncrown House. Velkan Mordan worked in the stables while his wife, Corliana, served as a midwife and provided child care to the family. Their only son, Venthel, was too young for employment but he soon found himself in a difficult position. Evalani, the youngest child and only daughter of Lurian Suncrown, had made him her match. As demanding as she was, Venthel had little choice in the matter.
At first, he was only annoyed by her attentions. She was severely jealous of his close relationship with his twin sister Meladia, and often treated the girl with rude disdain, something he would never tolerate. Evalani ultimately accepted this, although her attitude towards Meladia would always be cool and distant. He was a quiet child, Evalani was loud and abrasive. He enjoyed reading and writing while Evalani found it hard to sit still for more than a few minutes. He hated trouble and did his best to make his parents proud. Evalani couldn’t help but find trouble. In fact, it seemed to find her on its own accord. Unalla, Evalani’s mother, hoped that Venthel would have a quieting effect on the girl. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, there was no substantial change in either child’s personality. Over time, Venthel began to see her as more of a friend than a nuisance and eventually became completely devoted to her. They became inseperable and extremely protective of each other.
Like many children, Venthel lost both his parents to the scourge invasion. He and Meladia were lucky to find refuge with the Suncrown family. His close relationship with Evalani ensured their safety and protection from attack.
Now that the two are older, not quite adults but no longer children, their relationship is changing as well. In the past, it would have been unthinkable for a Suncrown to wed the son of a common stableman, but things have changed significantly. With the fall of the city, and the loss of Evalani’s parents, it is largely assumed that she and Venthel will one day be married. At this point, they are still only friends.
