Known Personality
The years of training as a ranger have hardened Theradiel against combat and battle. He tends to be hot-headed, brassy and quick to take any challenge thrown his way. Very rarely does Theradiel soften or stifle his true thoughts before speaking them. His impulsive actions often cause discontent, but in moments when the initiative must be taken Theradiel can be relied upon.
Theradiel can prove to be a talkative elf. Rarely does he go so far as to release undisclosed, confidential information, but his bold and brash statements and dogged debates can often give him more than he bargained for (and even then, he'd never admit he'd gone too far).
Pride for his family and talents dominates many of Theradiel's actions.
Intuitive and forward with his methods of "negotiating" and "relations" amidst others, Theradiel often uses his skills as a ranger in everyday interactions. In dealings with women, he sometimes internally considers them as "prizes" worthy of 'hunting' in the romantic manner -- while not negatively aggressive, per se, he is forward and brusquely amorous. Yet he avoids being labeled a philanderer by refraining from lasting relationships: once 'caught,' a woman is less intriguing to him and often finds herself jilted.
This behavior, though, occurs mainly with women of the lower classes. In terms of the ladies in his family and higher classes, he is stalwartly defensive of them from this kind of interaction. Concerning elven women, especially within his family, he believes they must abide by set rules and roles. Breaking of these traditionally domestic, placid lines constitutes for a reprimand, and Theradiel could do more than frown.
Needless to say, the women of Nerel'thos simultaneously captivate him and greatly annoy him.
Theradiel shows immense loyalty to the Andilien clan, and through the new alliance he begins to fight for the Suncrowns as well. Though he is quick to notice (and possibly point out) their weaker actions or moves, he pledges his loyalty to their cause as a new family and continues to fight.
For all his hot-headedness, Theradiel is not an unfairly cruel nor malicious person. Few actions would draw his true malice, and those would involve threatening or manipulating his family. With his cousins and comrades he is generally amiable (albeit rough), and at times can show a capacity for the stoic.
To sum up, Theradiel is very gung-ho and tough with a deep sense of pride in his skills and strength as a ranger. This pride and bring-it-on behavior carries over into his social demeanor; in all aspects, he is prone to aggressiveness and the occasional impulse. His loyalty to the clan Andillien and family Suncrown hold his bonds tight.
Character History
Theradiel, a spirited fighter and lover of the wilds, accompanied the remaining Andilien family during their alliance with the house Suncrown. He seemed generally reluctant to leave the wilds (where he often performed reconnaisance and tracked opposing forces instead of fighting directly on the main line) for the Suncrown villas, yet did not protest against the alliance nor the relocation. He prefers to spend his time out of doors.
(Theradiel is the son of Aithere Andilien, grandson of Gathien Andilien, great-grandson of Aigis Andilien. He is thus the second cousin (twice removed) to Aigin and his Suncrown bride, Lilith, and third cousin to Aigin's children: Aigun, Lunith, and Ulien.)
